Safe Place Ministry

John Obey Village, Sierra Leone, Africa

In January 2024, Mr. John Wah, founder, and Pastor Tom Dykman traveled to John Obey Village, Seirra Leone to work improve the building/coumpound that serves as housing/shelter medical clinic and a "Safe Place" for women and children in need. Mr. Wah supervised construction of the building and Pastor Tom led seminars and retreats for local pastors.

Following raids, thefts and vandalism, the need for a protective wall, gates and barred windows was realized. Enough funds were raised to begin wall construction in January 2025. John Wah returned to supervise construction and Pastor Tom Dykman once again led seminars and services for pastors.

The hand-made brick wall is 12 feet high X 134 ft. long X 124 ft. wide.

These are pictures taken on February, 8 2025 of the clinic opened to medically support the women of the shelter and the community.

"Amazing to witness the loving touch of Jesus giving hope, relief, promise and a warm word, loving touch and a future." (Pastor Tom Dykman)
